Veterinary Medicine Infrared Surveys

Whether it “Neighs”, “Moos”, or “Roars”, Accurate Infrared can help get your large animal back on the mend.

Ancient Greeks were the first people to use temperature to identify problem areas for healing purposes. When a horse went lame, they would apply a thin layer of mud over the suspect area. The patch of mud that dried the quickest was then identifiable as the area with the most heat and, therefore, the most inflammation. That was instrumental in determining the source of the pain for the wounded animal.

Accurate Infrared uses thermal imagery to assess the condition of large animals. Whether in a zoo, horse stable, farm or track environment, we can help to provide a diagnostic tool to use for assessing the animal. With the assistance of a veterinarian and a specific set of images, a comprehensive survey of the condition of an animal can be achieved. A report is generated and a veterinarian can use this to more specifically identify issues. Infrared thermography is an incredibly valuable tool to assist in the diagnosis of an animal injury.
