INFRARED ROOF MOISTURE SURVEYS
LOCATE SUSPECT RETAINED MOISTURE BEFORE REPAIRS BECOME BIGGER PROJECTS
NONDESTRUCTIVE SCREENING FOR LOW-SLOPE ROOF SYSTEMS
Accurate Infrared performs infrared roof moisture surveys to identify thermal patterns consistent with moisture retained beneath the roof surface. The information helps owners, facility teams, consultants and roofing contractors focus follow-up investigation, plan targeted repairs and better understand the extent of a moisture problem.
During the day, solar energy warms the roof assembly. After sunset, dry areas generally cool faster while areas containing retained moisture may release heat more slowly. Under suitable conditions, a trained thermographer can map those thermal differences for targeted verification.
PLAN
Review the roof system, access, weather and building conditions before scheduling fieldwork.
MAP
Locate and document thermal anomalies through walk-on, aerial or combined survey methods.
VERIFY
Use marked findings to guide appropriate confirmation by cores, probes or other follow-up methods.
FIELD EXAMPLES
Representative imagery from real field assignments. Client, vessel and location details are intentionally withheld.
WHEN A ROOF SURVEY CAN HELP
WALK-ON AND AERIAL SURVEY OPTIONS
Depending on the building, roof area and project objective, Accurate Infrared can perform a walk-on roof survey, an aerial survey or a coordinated combination of both. Findings can be documented with thermal and visual imagery and mapped to recognizable roof locations for follow-up by the client’s roofing professional.
Successful infrared roof work depends on roof construction and suitable environmental conditions, including solar loading, cloud cover, wind and recent precipitation. Infrared identifies thermal anomalies; it does not by itself prove the presence or source of moisture. Physical verification may be recommended before repair decisions are made.
