MARITIME & SHIPBOARD INFRARED INSPECTIONS

CONDITION-MONITORING SUPPORT FOR VESSELS, FLEETS AND SHIPYARDS

SHIPBOARD SURVEYS BUILT AROUND REAL OPERATIONS

Accurate Infrared provides energized electrical infrared inspections and related condition-monitoring support for commercial vessels, government-support vessels, fleet operators and shipyards. We coordinate directly with port engineers, vessel crews, ship managers and repair teams so the work fits the vessel’s operating schedule, port call or yard period.

Our thermographers inspect equipment while it is energized and carrying normal operating load. Abnormal heating and other significant conditions are communicated promptly, followed by a clear report with paired thermal and visual images, equipment identification, temperature data and practical recommendations.

PIER-SIDE OR IN THE YARD

Fieldwork can be coordinated around port calls, repair periods and vessel access.

PROMPT COMMUNICATION

Critical findings are raised with the vessel or project contact while the survey is underway.

FLEET-READY REPORTING

Consistent documentation supports repair planning, recurring surveys and portfolio oversight.

FIELD EXAMPLES

Representative imagery from real field assignments. Client, vessel and location details are intentionally withheld.

SEVERE CONNECTION HEATING

Critical shipboard findings can be communicated promptly while the survey continues.

SHIPBOARD ELECTRICAL FINDING

Technical overlays preserve useful temperature context without identifying the vessel or operator.

TYPICAL SHIPBOARD SCOPE

• Main and emergency switchboards
• Panelboards and circuit breakers
• Motor control centers, starters and VFDs
• Generators and transformers
• Transfer switches and shore-power connections
• UPS systems and power-distribution equipment
• Motors, bearings and mechanical systems when included
• Other energized equipment within the agreed scope

SUPPORT FOR ONE VESSEL OR AN ENTIRE FLEET

We support one-time troubleshooting, preventive-maintenance surveys, pre-yard planning, repair verification and repeatable fleet programs. Our team includes Level II and Level III certified thermographers with current NFPA 70E training and more than two decades of hands-on infrared inspection experience.

Accurate Infrared can mobilize to ports and shipyards throughout the United States and internationally. Before travel, we coordinate the survey scope, vessel schedule, access requirements, escorts, safety procedures and reporting expectations with your team.
