VETERINARY THERMAL IMAGING

NON-CONTACT THERMAL SCREENING TO SUPPORT VETERINARY EVALUATION AND MONITORING

THERMAL INFORMATION FOR THE VETERINARY TEAM

Accurate Infrared captures repeatable thermal images of horses, livestock, zoo animals and other large animals at the request of a veterinarian or animal-care professional. Differences in surface-temperature patterns may help the veterinary team identify areas that deserve closer clinical examination or monitor changes over time.

The imaging process is non-contact and can often be performed with minimal disruption to the animal. Findings are documented for interpretation alongside the animal’s history, physical examination and other veterinary testing.

NON-CONTACT

Capture surface-temperature patterns without attaching sensors or physically touching the animal.

COMPARE

Evaluate symmetry and repeatable views to help identify changes that deserve veterinary attention.

DOCUMENT

Provide organized thermal and visual images for the veterinarian’s review and follow-up.

FIELD EXAMPLES

Representative imagery from real field assignments. Client, vessel and location details are intentionally withheld.

THERMAL PROFILE

Non-contact thermal imaging records surface-temperature patterns without handling the animal.

COMPARATIVE VIEW

Repeatable views can support comparison over time when interpreted by the veterinary team.

POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS

• Baseline and comparative imaging
• Areas selected by the veterinarian for closer review
• Monitoring surface-temperature patterns during recovery
• Equine, livestock and large-animal applications
• Zoo and wildlife animals under professional care
• Other veterinarian-defined imaging scopes

INTERPRETATION BELONGS WITH THE VETERINARIAN

Thermography records surface-temperature patterns and is sensitive to environmental and animal-related factors, including sunlight, wind, humidity, recent activity, coat condition, viewing angle and distance. It does not show deep tissue directly and cannot diagnose an injury or disease by itself.

Accurate Infrared provides the imaging and documentation. A licensed veterinarian is responsible for clinical interpretation, diagnosis and treatment decisions. Before fieldwork, we coordinate the desired views, animal preparation, environment and reporting expectations with the veterinary team.
